Update on Inquiry Progress - July 2012

The Inquiry has today published the update on its progress that Sir John Chilcot sent to the Prime Minister last week. The letter, which is available here, sets out the scope of the Inquiry’s report and the time frame for future work.

As the letter explains, the Inquiry is continuing to make progress with the research, analysis and writing of its report. The Committee has concluded that it will be in a position to begin the process of writing to any individuals that may be criticised by the middle of 2013. The report will be published as soon as possible after that process is complete.
